About

I'm curious about almost everything.

Where tech and AI are heading, big ideas and how to think well, and why people do what they do. The through-line, wherever I have been: cut the faff, make it clear, make it useful.

I'm Rosa, and I'm curious about almost everything: where tech and AI are heading, big ideas and how to think well, and why people do what they do. I learn by exploring and testing things in the real world, then sharing what actually holds up. Not the hype, and not advice from on high.

I'm from Cambodia, where I spent years in humanitarian operations before moving to Jersey during Covid and starting over in financial services. I expected almost none of that to transfer. Most of it did: reading people, making complicated things simple, getting results without much to work with. These days finance operations is where I get to test ideas against real problems, the place I learned that automating a mess just gives you a faster mess. But it is one thread, not the whole story.

Mostly I write to think out loud and to keep myself honest about what works. Putting something in public makes me read more carefully before I do, which is half the reason I do it. If something I share makes you think, or saves you an afternoon, that is the point.

Why Jum Reap Sua

Jum reap sua is how you greet someone politely in Khmer. It felt like the right name for this site: a greeting from where I started, before anything else.

Say hello
